St John's Film Society is a student society of St John's College, in the University of Cambridge. The society runs a programme of films during the University terms, which are open to all members of the University - and their guests!

The films are a mixture of well-known and a few that may not have made the rounds at the multiplexes (a few months after their UK release, normally).

All our films are shown in the 250-seat Palmerston Room, inside the college's Fisher Building Map. Unlike many of the student cinemas in Cambridge, we project from high quality 35mm prints, and use Dolby sound systems to offer excellent sound reproduction. Our regular programme Term Card has films on Thursday and Sunday evenings - admission is just £2.50

We introduce a new 5-film pass that allows entry to any 5 films this term for £10, a 20% discount off the normal ticket price. This can be purchased at any showing.

The society is entirely run by its student (undergraduate and graduate members of St John's College) members, who work in one of several possible roles - in return, they are given free admission, and are invited to events run by the society for its members. The society is overseen by an elected committee, and operates with the assistance of senior members of college and college staff. For more information about the society, please contact the External Secretary.
